Matching gifts
Double the impact of your gift by asking your employer to make a matching gift. Contact a human resources representative at your workplace to see if your company offers a matching gift incentive.

Planned giving
Make a lasting difference by naming Surgeons for Sight as a beneficiary in your will. You may designate Surgeons for Sight as a beneficiary of your estate, for a set amount or a particular asset.  In the United States, your estate is entitled to an estate tax deduction for the full value of your gift. Consult an estate planning professional or an attorney to help you create an estate plan that is appropriate for you.

Donate stocks and securities
Surgeons for Sight gratefully accepts securities and mutual funds as charitable donations. If your financial services provider holds securities, including mutual funds, in your account, you can have the securities electronically transferred to us. Your gift is complete on the date that the stock is transferred. The value of your gift will be the mean value of the stock on the transfer instruction date. 

Please note that in the United States, if you would like to donate stock that has depreciated in value, selling the stock yourself and donating the amount you receive may enable you to write off the loss on your taxes.

Donate frequent flyer miles
Donate your frequent flier miles to Surgeons for Sight and help transport our volunteers to sight-saving programs! Just 35,000 miles could send a volunteer or physician on a trip to restore sight.  The transfer on miles from your frequent flyer account to Surgeons for Sight is simple.
